Cranial 1
PREREQUISITE: IMMT Foundations
Chronic issues with one’s head and neck are common issues rehabilitation professionals, and cranial manipulation can be a powerful form of therapy. Cranial manipulation is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the head and face which has been around since the 1930’s. This kind of treatment has the ability to help with the physical components related to such conditions as headaches, chronic neck pain and post-concussion syndrome.
This course will detail how to palpate the major bones of the head and face, and how to assess them effectively. We will take a deep dive into the anatomy and the biomechanics of movement of these structures, and start to show how treatment can be allied.
Cranial 2
PREREQUISITE: Cranial 1
The power of cranial manipulations are it’s direct and indirect effect throughout the entire body and effecting many of the biological systems. Once we establish the palpation and landmarks, we dive deeper into the cranial manipulation world to how this type of treatment can affect the cardiovascular, endocrine, musculoskeletal, reproductive, digestive, circulatory systems and more.
In these two days, you will learn more advanced cranial manipulation techniques that address the central and autonomic nervous systems, the dura mater, cerebral spinal fluid, cranial sutures and much more. These techniques taught can be applied immediately with results that have shown to improve the resilience and adaptability of your clients.
