IMMT FOUNDATIONS*

*Acupuncturists, kinesiologists, medical doctors, personal trainers, occupational therapists, and traditional Chinese medicine doctors need to take our Palpation course first.

Course Description

This course is the first step of the IMMT journey and is designed as the entry point into our education stream. It is open to any allied health professional with a background in manual therapy or to health professionals who have taken our palpation course. The goal is to bring allied health professionals to a common starting point. We start to lay the foundation for the skills needed to palpate bone motility, visceral health and fascial integrity. We will introduce the major concepts of IMMT and show you how to seamlessly integrate manual therapy and exercise prescription into your practice. We cover the updates and relevant research in manual therapy and how the foundations for our interventions fit within the current scientific and clinical evidence.

Manual therapy and movement are a significant part of a much larger impact you can have with your client, and we go into detail of where it fits in client care, what other impacts you can have as their health and wellness practitioner to optimize your practice. Regardless of where you fit professionally, we will help you discover how to improve what you already do and identify what you still need to learn.

In this two-day course, we introduce our manual therapy treatment methodology: Assess, Prep, Restore, and Link, along with movement progressions that not only gives powerful feedback as to your treatment, but increased function to your clients. We also discuss the Integrated Care Model (ICM), a complete wellness framework that will maximize the positive clinical impact on your clients.
